I am Mikhail (Misha) Polyanskiy, the founder of Optix.eXpert freelance marketplace and RefractiveIndex.INFO web site and database. This is an example listing just to demonstrate how it can look and what information can be included. Presently, I am not accepting jobs, but I will try to answer all relevant questions about Optix.eXpert (free of charge of course!)
Education and experience
(see my Optix.eXpert profile page for detailed CV)
I have received my BS and MS degrees in physics from St. Petersburg University in Russia in 1997 and 2000 respectively and PhD from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne ‐ EPFL (Switzerland) in 2004.
I spent three years in South Korea in 2004--2007 working as an engineer at Samsung SDI.
In 2007 I joined the Brookhaven National Laboratory in the United States, first as a postdoc and then as a permanent staff member and I happily work there since then. My present position title is "Physicist" and I am responsible for the development and maintenance of a unique ultrashort-pulse, ultrahigh-peak-power long-wave infrared laser system with high-pressure mixed-isotope CO2 amplifiers.
I am developing the RefractiveIndex.INFO web site and database since 2008 as a hobby project, and I have founded the Optix.eXpert in August 2021 to help optics professionals in finding freelance and consulting jobs, and to help employers in finding best experts for outsourcing optics-related jobs.
